To my greatly loved Great Uncle - Stan Corbett....I am so glad I rescued you from that terrible nursing home that kept you drugged and restrained, relocating you to one that took you off all medications at the age of 88 where you flourished and they loved you like their own family member because you were such a beautiful man, until it changed hands to a commercial hierachy. This is where Robyn (bless her soul) came into our lives and between us we gave you the best 7.5 drug and restraint free years of your elder years. Rest in peace now you are back with your treasured Barbara where you wished to be. Thankyou for fighting for our country which allows us to enjoy what we have today and thankyou for continuing to fight for others for years and years after you came home even with your own injuries.

To my Great Uncle Stan To a Great man whom reached the age of 95. You were a treasure to my family. You are a hero to me and my boys serving your country as a Rat of Tobruk with the 2/13 Battalion of the 9th division in Australian Army. You served for 5 years spending over 1200 days outside of Australia defending your country and our way of life we have today. Your Great Great Nephews and I will always honour you by marching at Anzac Day Marches and attend Dawn Services just to remember what you. Rest in Peace Uncle Stan you are with Barbara your loving wife. Maree Chris Justin Jesse De silva

I had the privilege of being Stan's Carer for the past 7 years. He was a quiet, gentle very polite gentleman. Stan shared stories of his life with me over the years including some of his time as a WW2 Soldier and Rat of Tobruk, I feel honoured he shared those times with me as to us it was History but to him it was his reality.Stan was a gentleman to the end even as Dementia claimed more and more of him. He always thanked the Nurses as they tended to his daily needs and would greet me with a smile. Stan was a remarkable man who was liked by all who knew him and he will be very missed by all. Rest in Peace Stanley James we will never forget you, Robyn and Kevin
