I'm afraid my condolences come rather late. I only heard of Sonia's passing during the 2011 "Logies". As I've written elsewhere, I was a news cameraman at Sydney's Channel Ten from the early seventies when the station was situated at West Ryde and I remember Sonia very well as a charming, warm and delightful person who took her news reporting very seriously. I was dismayed to learn of her passing, but what fun we all had all those years ago. I later returned to Melbourne and to GTV 9 for the remainder of my career and only saw Sonia once, not long after I got here. I was shooting something or other near Federation Square when she jumped out of a cab, quickly gave me a hug...yackety-yack ( both of us )... jumped back aboard and sped off. From all accounts, so typical. Good on yah Sonia and regards to your family.

While watching TV last night we are both saddened to hear that our lovely,vibrant,inspirational friend is no longer with us,she will be greatly missed.
