Scotty was my mother's (Karin Shepherd's partner for many years. He loved us, and cared for her. Scotty had a great sence of humour, and would make us laugh a lot. He also made sure I was never bored. Scotty took me to swimming lessons, horse riding, bush walking fishing, boating, swimming and a lot of other activities. I remember him packing hte car with fishing gear, swimming stuff, blankets and chairs, making lunch and them waking mum up and we would go to narrabeen lakes. we swam, fished, walked and swam some more. Scotty and mum sold office equipment together. They would travel around NSW, both with matching bluebird cars. Scotty would answer any question I had, like where rubber came from, how a speed gun worked and why I had to go to sleep. Scotty cared for me after my mum had a car accident. I dont' remember being scared even though she was not home, because he was at the school gate to pick me up. Scotty was my Dad for many years. And I loved him dearly.
