Sal, I suppose when people die, other people write how glorious they were alive. In your case it's deeply true, you are a fantastic person/mother/friend/wife/collegue the list goes on. I have so many examples of this but maybe just a few would make you feel less embarrassed! I am Marcus the youngest of two Step children, I was a baby when sal became my second mother, she did everything for us, in her mid 20's taking taking on two children must have been quite the task, especially with dads lack of organisational skills but she did it and thrived. It would be a monumental task to explain the effort it takes to raise children who are not of your own blood. I never knew the difference. I suppose I needed to explain that before I got to my example! Parties parties parties, oh the parties there where so many, I would go every weekend to a different party and Sal was like the party mother in that she would know everything about it, why, where, who, when and most importantly the parents. Sal would become almost instant friends with the hosts, everyone loved sal, she just had a way with people. It was amazing, my friends parents would ask how sal was going after only meeting her once!! What the! Anyway!, I would get to the party to find my every move under scrutiny and constant surveillance! But in a good way, I would receive the good bed, the breakfast, the special treatment, this wasn't an isolated event but common to all parties I attended. The care and concern, she is my second mother on equal terms. And what a fantastic job she did. P.S sal I haven't eaten chocolate cake or lemon slice since you left us, and those two dishes will NEVER touch my lips again, I will not spoil my pallet with inferior sweets.
