I have known Rudi for at 15 years in Sydney. I met him at a musical soiree and he invited me to teach him the piano. Even at an older age he still had a desire to play some of his beloved pieces. Well, we became friends, played golf together with Adam Hill and others and the music lessons went by the by. practising of course was still a challenge. After going overseas in 1998 to teach, Rudi and I paradoxically became closer as I stayed at his place on numerous visits to back to Sydney and Rudi met many of my family. He always wanted to drive me to the airport and pick me up when I returned. When I married in 2003 he welcomed my wife with open arms as his too came from that area, Greece/Turkey. To say I will miss him would be an understatement as he seemed to go on forever. I rang him constantly from Oman, Turkey, where he visited for one week, Gaza, Taiwan, Vietnam and most recently, India. When signing off to my 'take care and keep breathing' he would always reply...'I'll do my stinking best'. Au revoir mon ami..... Tony and Aylin Brimo and family
