Roy was like a Grandfather to Sandy and Phil as we lost our own grandfathers over 20 years ago. He was the most positive and inspiring person. He loved life and the beach which we both do also. He was a presence at every family celebration - Christmas/Easter/Father's Day/Mother's Day and any other gathering of the Rogers/Randall/Kent families. He would regale us with stories of his past and never failed to amaze us with his sharp memory. Our lives are better for having had Roy in them.
