Mr Jones taught me at Tudor Grange in the seventies! He took a group of us to Paris for the day! He then took another group to France. 2 weeks and 2,000 miles later we'd had the holiday of a lifetime. I was one of the lucky 2 to go with him to see Jacques Cousteau's HQ at Bandol. We recently discussed those happy times. He was a star that shone brightly into our lives. He gave so much to so many people. God bless you Mr Jones.

Mr Jones, you will be HUGELY missed by everyone. Truly inspirational, selfless, caring, thoughtful, knowledgeable, helpful and the list goes on. You were always there at every single event ever held at Arden, helping and assisting everyone with a smile; parent's evenings bringing us food and drinks when helping, school productions, open evenings, charity days and of course always offering a helping hand around school. Also, thank you so much for coming along to the West Midlands Youth Ballet and showing your support over the years; you were always to interested in what pupils were involved in, and showed your support. Your charity work was outstanding and selfless, every year working at the homeless shelter all over the Christmas period, and also assisting many other charities. From the bottom of mine, and many other people's hearts, thank you so much for everything you have done; you have inspired so many people and touched so many lives. Rest in peace Roy Jones, you will be sadly missed and definitely NEVER forgotten xxxx

Mr Jones had a beautiful personality, the way he would just walk up to anyone and start a conversation. He was hilarious when he did a safe fist bump. he would fall asleep in lessons and make us all laugh! My best memories of him are when he helped me find my things over and over again. Also in year seven I got really upset because the lunch staff wouldn't let me have lunch, because I had no money on my card and, Mr Jones being the gentleman that he was bought my lunch, and made me laugh putting a big smile on my face. The next day when I came to pay him back he wouldn't have any of it. Roy Jones never failed to put a smile on anyone's face and may he rest in peace.

Cannot believe Mr Jones won't be strolling round Arden, doing odd jobs for everyone and helping out anyone who comes his way! I don't think there's a heart Roy didn't touch, or a smile that didn't appear on the faces of the people he spoke to. He was genuinely the most inspirational and amazing person i have ever and will ever meet. Sir you have made Arden what it is today, and I will miss the random chats on the field, and your last minute tips when you catch my running to my language exams! You are a credit to Arden School, and I think everyone will agree when I say Arden will never be the same without you! Sir you really were the most increadable person I have ever and will ever meet, rest in peaceā™„
