We have heard it from many and experienced it ourselves she was a born facilitator of other people's expansion with a unique charm, cheek and love she created an open space for all of us, and hundreds of others not present in this room to attempt to express our bigger selves our more, or better our higher, stronger, braver or weaker, softer, quieter. Romaine or Rom, or Main as some called her couldn't turn off this instinct it shone from her since childhood as we have heard today "great, and what else could we do?" "yes, and what else is there for you?" "sounds great, go on. Ill stand back & you give it a try..." she'd say constantly "Now Darling.....don't forget to.....xyz abc" ......."And you know, the other thing they might be interested in is.....abc xyz" Always an extra prompt, and another one, and another one toward a greater outcome for everyone Gifted. What an example of fearlessness and of embracing truths no matter how uncomfortable or inconvenient And then Executive Coaching And her family at the IEC. Here her magic found a method. She blossomed in that framework & flowed into that work she seemed to have found something concrete that could be hers. That she could 'do' and 'be' and 'give' as powerfully, and delicately as only she could. And beyond corporate work, she conjured workshops for people like us on Reinvention of Men in this crazy age, with Janet Tucker in Melbourne and most recently a work she was massively proud of: SINGLEDIN Together we concocted a plan to spread a word to people far and wide: "just because im not married with 3 kids, a poodle and a banker husband don't presume im miserable. In fact im doing fine, and probably having more fun that you know. Defiant. Loving of the freedom to explore and experience she was determined to help others seeking the same, to find it and so...... SINGLEDiN was crafted A one day workshop: Bringing together people living 'Original Lives' We would acknowledge the challenges of singledom in this couplist world, reflect on the truths of what 'Normal' really is these days, celebrate the courage of those choosing originality, and help our participants to reconnect with passion in their own lives, in absence of that relationship we all presumed we'd have, ......and probably still want. And finally, naturally........ as with any Romaine Youdale production cocktails and canapes and... "OK Darling, Great; whats next?" This was her creation and gift to those walking a similar path Fun fun times. What a woman Join me in love and in the words she loved from her father Ken Journey Well. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx well done to whoever set up this page, and i loved reading the words posted by others - thanks for your sharing. eric.

I still can't fathom the loss of such a wonderful, intelligent, vivacious woman. I met Romaine within the last 5 years and am not shocked at the impact i am now feeling knowing she has gone. She was so wonderfully engaging and vibrant - alway interested in what you were doing and confronting on the topics you least liked to discuss. She was beautiful and honest and I will miss her.

From early days as tiny tots in kindy, through the dancing days of junior school and birthday parties, I remember Rom's smile and exhuberence for life and people. Romie was always so interested in what was happening in each persons life and always seeking to create a space where she could bring people together and celebrate in some way. Her laugh is clear and beautiful in my mind, and her smile and light shines on from the stars above. I'm sure she is still watching over us all, and somehow putting her say in to make magic happen. A friend in life, dear to my memory, I am so grateful to have the care she showed for me etched deeply in my heart. I can't believe she is gone; it is so sad. So many people loved her. I am so glad for each of the memories that are coming to mind as I grieve her departure these last few days. Romaine was a very special person that touched so many people in such positive and transformative ways. My love to Janette, Ken and Manon. Fenella

Joining a group of like minded performers at North Sydney for acting classes. Feeling out of place and then a couple of beautiful girls made me feel welcome. Real Stars are not made but born into this world for a reason. Sometimes we do not know the reason at the time. Fly Romaine Fly.
