I'm another trivia player from the trivia channel. I was saddened to hear of Peppy's passing, He was always considerate of everyone in trivia, always helping newcomers and visitors. He helped me (a computer dummy) a few times with computer problems, though he had to instruct me slowly and in simple terms-thanks for the patience. The main thing I remember about Peppy is he would slow down or help the other team so the game would be tied and 'next point wins'. Miss you Peppy-God bless you!

Richard was my brother who was three years younger than me.We were very close all through the years. Thinking back ,when we were kids living in Canada, we loved going down the snow hills with cousin John on our sleds. As more years passed he introduced me to the beauty of the mountains with canoe trips and overnight camping. We sat around the campfire and talked about anything and everything that only brothers could do. Throughout his life he helped many people in various ways. He was gifted with a sharp mind which he used to help strangers, friends and many family members. Richard would give great advice on just about any subject or could find the answer to your questions. Our Mother was the love of Richards life. She provided unconditional love when he needed it the most. Richards' stay here on earth was short but he accomplished many great things and made us proud. His legacy will continue to live in our hearts forever.

I am a moderator on the #trivia channel (Irc) and I often saw Richard there, although I didn't get the chance to talk to him much. However I noticed he was a very intelligent and kind person and we'll be missing him.God bless you, Richard and may your soul rest in peace.

I've been a trivia reg for a while now. It comes at a shock to me that Peppy is no longer with us....he always struck me as a much younger person since he was always in a cheerful mood and willing to strike up conversations. He'll be missed.

I met Pep in the Trivia channel in Irc. He was a brilliant trivia competitor, and I admired him very much. He was a pleasant, polite man who would be encouraging to me that I would improve with the game. He was a very likeable guy and easy to become friends with. He always acknowledged me and for that I respected him. He will definitely be missed! God be with you now Peppy. May you rest in peace!!.....sneaky

There was a playground nearby and as you can see, there was a sliding board. But the sliding board was missing the board. Richard was making like he was going to slide down it without the board present. Barry

March, 1971, Richard and I bought round-trip train tickets to Suffolk. Once there, we hung around the train station and goofed off until the return trip. Barry

August, 1971, Between our junior and senior years in high school, Richard, David and I hitchhiked to Skyline Drive and the Appalachian Mountains and backpacked for a week. We hadn't started driving yet, so thumbing was our only option. For me it was my first time to Old Rag Mountain. That week all we needed to sustain us was on our backs. The rides that we hitched there and back were so memorable and our week's worth of lifelong experiences were such that I wrote an English term paper on it. The teacher was so taken in by it that she gave me an A. Barry

July, 1979, Richard and I canoed a 20-mile stretch of the Nottaway River. There were only the two of us and our two bikes and one car . We drove downstream to the take-out point and locked our bikes to a tree behind a country store (with the owner's permission). Then we drove upstream to the put-in point where we left the car and started our canoeing. We canoed all day and spent the night on the river. The next morning we continued our canoeing until we reached the bikes. We hauled the canoe up the bank and chained it to the tree. Then we got on our bikes and rode to where the car was. After we loaded the bikes into the car, we drove back to the where the canoe was, loaded it onto the roof of the car and drove home. Whew!!!!! We got our exercise that weekend! Barry
