I met Fr Christopher at age 17 and he was to become the single most important influence in my life, in that the Lord revealed Himself and His true Father's heart to me through my encounters with Fr. Christopher....showed me who He is and who I am in Him. This poem was written by me in 1975 ... I had spent the day with Fr Christopher...and my whole life turned around...... Sleep, gentle man,    Rest your head      Lay your body down. Tomorrow you will guide yet more people,    Free yet more people,      Fulfill yet more people. Tomorrow, gentle man,    a man may turn his head,      a boy might say "not yet",        an old woman may be too tired... Worry not. For the young woman to whom you spoke    of all God's love for her      is outside in the garden.....weeping. Her tears are meant to share -     and share she will. Because of your tenderness,    gentle man,      she will be a loving child of God. Paula Groot - 24th May 1975

As a teenage girl, newly born again, Christopher poured his wisdom, patience and deep, deep love for Jesus into my spirit. Few people have ever struck me as being quite so authentically committed to a life surrendered completely. Christopher, Francesco and Jesus must be having some wonderful times together right now. Looking forward to seeing you on the other side, dear sweet man. With love, Cindy-Anne Quinn (Formerly Groot)
