I love how they are both wearing pink, they look beautiful :) And Nanna's pearls, she never went out without them.

This photo is a beautiful photo of Nanna. As Seam mentioned, Maya you have her eyes and cheekbones and might I add her eyelashes as well =]

We paid a last minute visit on Christmas eve and were introduced to the Djamhur clan. I remember Nan was sitting opposite me and always part of all the conversations and celebrations. Her comments was always complimentary and very Nan-like. I was thinking, "this is how I imagined a Nugen grandmother would be like" - in the most complimentary way. So very sweet and delightful. Asian matriachs can sometimes be harmful to your health. I'm Asian and so claiming the right to say that. Just gorgeous. x c

Thank you Chanh, I actually have some really nice photo's from that Christmas that I will add for you to see. Sweet and delightful was Nanna, you said it perfectly. She was so happy to meet you all, very excited to meet Menh's siblings and how you all love eachother and just laugh when you're together. That was truly a night to remember. :) Love Maya.

I can attest to Ms. Lam's rather heartfelt sentiments. I had the great pleasure of meeting a very cheerful lady, who went simply by Nana that night. Her presence was felt miles away and I'll never forget how hard she concentrated when it came to eating her muffin (or whatever piece of delectable food sat in front of her that night). It's the same look I get when my Vietnamese roll is made-to-order. Lots of Love and stuff, Peter

I remember her smile. As we all walked though the door she was tugging your hand Maya, eagerly wanting to know who we were and who was oldest and youngest. she was so energetic and excited... simply beautiful. David

Thanks Petey, I remember her eating that muffin, and you had that look in your eye, that if she wasn't gonna finish it, you could help. You're so thoughtful that way :) See you soon Petey, Love Maya.

Thank you Daisy, She was so thrilled to have met you all. She could definitely see why Menh is such a good person, having grown up with you all around him :) It was a treat for her, and even though it was many years ago, she always asked about you and wanted to know what you were all up to. We loved telling her about you guys, it always made her laugh and smile. Love Maya.

Please listen to the songs that I have added to this page. These were some of Nanna's favourite. They are beautiful songs and remind me of her, each time I listen to them. I hope you enjoy them, Nanna had great taste.

Nanna always looked amazing. I remember introducing her to my friends from High School and they thought she was so posh and classy. They couldn't believe she was my Nanna, which I was thoroughly insulted by. I still remember when Menh met Nanna for the very first time, he was speechless, although I had already warned him, how lovely she always looks, he was still surprised and felt very under-dressed sitting next to her at lunch. I think that is why, I now try to look my best at all times. Especially when we would visit Nanna, as her compliments were always genuine and made me feel proud. I'll always love you and miss you Nanna. x Maylee.
