Mom, please don’t feel guilty It was just my time to go. I see you are still feeling sad, And the tears just seem to flow. We all come to earth for our lifetime, And for some it’s not many years I don’t want you to keep crying You are shedding so many tears. I haven’t really left you Even though it may seem so. I have just gone to my heavenly home, And I’m closer to you than you know. Just believe that when you say my name I’m standing next to you, I know you long to see me, But there’s nothing I can do. But I’ll still send you messages And hope you understand, That when your time comes to “cross over,” I’ll be there to take your hand

Hugs From Heaven by Charlotte Anselmo When you feel a gentle breeze Caress you when you sigh It's a hug sent from Heaven From a loved one way up high. If a soft and tender raindrop Lands upon your nose They've added a small kiss As fragile as a rose. If a song you hear fills you With a feeling of sweet love It's a hug sent from Heaven From someone special up above. If you awaken in the morning To a bluebird's chirping song It's music sent from Heaven To cheer you all day long. If tiny little snowflakes Land upon your face It's a hug sent from Heaven Trimmed with Angel lace. So keep the joy in your heart If you're lonely my dear friend Hugs that are sent from Heaven A broken heart will mend.

There comes a time in everyone’s life when you lose someone you love they’re here today but gone tomorrow to a better place, above and when I think of times we shared those childhood memories I cannot be sad even though you’re gone they’ll always stay with me I know you can hear me you know my heart cries out loud when I think about you you’ll always make me proud in my eyes you have done no wrong and your memories will live on I remember the day when I got the news about the one I was going to lose but the Simple Man will carry on in our hearts you will stay strong Brother, you’re a hero and a legend in your own time a shining star in the Southern Sky My love for you will never die So fly on Freebird and let God hear my words even after life, our love is strong God Bless You

Well what can I say? He was a funny guy when I first met him. I was just chilling at Gore park (I think thats the name of the down town core park?) we talked a bit, he introduced me to his boyfriend and some other people. He was someone with a heart of gold. Mike was able to take time out and make friends with anyone. Its to bad he was taken away from all of us. It hurts a lot to lose a true friend. We may never know "why him?" but at less he wll go out as a hero not just for the lady he help out but to many of us he made the world a great place when he was around

Mike, was like a brother and a good friend he would make me smile and make me laugh, Him and jose were my favorite people when ever i seen them it would bring me hope and it made me happy that they were both happy. When ever mike would be downtown i would always see him outside having a smoke and we would talk for hours on end about anything, thats what i like about him he would always make people feel happy about them sleves and would help them belive in the little things in life. Mike loved jose with all his heart he would tell me that he was doing good in his life and that he was happy he was with jose. I wil miss him lots and he will be forever missed by me and everyone that was in his life. You are in my thoughts and prays hun love you with all my heart . And i was thinking today that he has to still be here i couldnt belive it when some one told me but he is though he will always be with us. Mike was the young man with a ready smile, and we are all perplexed as we try to make sense of his murder. Despite his youth, he was a guy who could "walk the talk". And as I attempt to understand his passing, I'm reminded of an old poem, because in the example of his life and the manner of his death, Mike remains an inspiration to us all: Did you tackle that trouble that came your way With a resolute heart and cheerful? Or hide your face from the light of day With a craven soul and fearful? Oh, a trouble’s a ton, or a trouble’s an ounce, Or a trouble is what you make it. And it isn’t the fact that you’re hurt that counts, But only how did you take it? You are beaten to earth? Well, well, what’s that? Come up with a smiling face. It’s nothing against you to fall down flat, But to lie there -- that’s disgrace. The harder you’re thrown, why the higher you bounce; Be proud of your blackened eye! It isn’t the fact that you’re licked that counts; It’s how did you fight and why? And though you be done to death, what then? If you battled the best you could; If you played your part in the world of men, Why, the Critic will call it good. Death comes with a crawl, or comes with a pounce, And whether he’s slow or spry, It isn’t the fact that you’re dead that counts, But only, how did you die?

I met Mike through my girlfriend who attended school with him. I have known him for only 2 months and he made a lasting impression on me. The first thing my girlfriend ever told me about him was how when they walked home from school everyone knew him and liked him. Street people knew him by name because of how kind he was to them. He was just the type of person that wanted to help other people anyway he could and he did so to his last moments with us. People like him are far and few between. We need him here because he makes this messed up world seem just a bit more livable, but there were different plans for him. I just ask everyone to not dwell on his death and let it make you unhappy because I know he would not have wanted that, instead celebrate his life and the time he spent with us. Smile and think of the times he made you laugh (I know he did), and be happy that he was in our lives. You will be missed Mike by many. Rest in Peace.

I can't even put into words how I feel about Mike. I've only known him for a short peroid of time but he has touched my life more than words can express. He knew how to make me smile and did anything and everything to make me happy. I can't believe he is gone. I can't fathom him not being there tomorrow, or the next day, or the day after. I visited his apartment building today to see Josue, his boyfriend, and there was still his blood by the front door. I sat down beside it and ran my fingers over the dried splatter. I could feel his presence just by sitting there and it felt for a second as if he were with me. I wanted to pull him out through those spots on the ground but it was all imagination. My life has been forever changed and I will always love and cherish Mike and my time with him. I love you Mike! Rest in peace dear friend!

Mike was an enthusiastic student who wanted nothing more than to make a career helping others successfully overcome the trials and tribulations life sometimes throws at us, as he had. He was a power of example, and will be greatly missed.

Was always there to make you smile and cheer you up. He had good taste in fashion and had that walk down pact. He sat beside we in class and always ahd us girls laughing. No matter how pissed he got at anyone her still loved them and found the good in them and others. I will miss him dearly. He loved Jouse with his whole heart.
