remember when i am gone away gone far away into the silent land remember me day by day you tell me of the future that you planned only remember me you understand it will be to late to counsel yet if you should forget me for a while do not greive better by far you should forget and smile than you should remember and be sad

Was a friend of Martin's and a member of the supporters club. My fav memory of him is skerries 2005, when he got a treble. What a talented racer. Was gutted when I heard about the accident, haven't been to a race since. Just not the same. Every time my little girl sees a jet stream in the sky she thinks it's a burn out mark from Martin's latest win.Gone mate but not forgotten. Finnegan 45, ride on.

we said we would walk together.....come what may.....an then come the twlight should we loose our way....an if as were walking our hands should slip free.....id wait should you fall behind.....so lets make our steps clear so the other may see.....we will wait should you fall behind.........no ordinary person will ever understand the joy martin gave to us fans or the void in our hearts that he has passed. but he will never be forgotten by me an i am proud to have his number on me for all to see. ride on my man! the flyin finn......ciaron clare

The reason I loved road racing was your skill and energy. Now you and Rob D are missing from the Skerries line-up it won't be the same. Everyone should be there a mark the event, even so. There's some amazing team in Heaven now. Keep us all safe as we keep you in our thoughts. Keep her lit to the max, Finn! (There's clouds on the footpegs!)
