I stayed with Marjorie and Dudley when I first went to PNG in 1980 while waiting for my then fiance to arrive from Cloudy Bay where he was working. Their extensive network of contacts helped us to locate Russ when he went missing enroute after the plane was not able to land to collect him from the bush airstrip on the plantation and he he had to travel by canoe and bus to get back to Port Moresby. Marjorie's passion for PNG and its people, her love of life, her faith and her kindness have lived long in my memory and were part of a decison we made to return to PNG and work for ten years. We have kept contact through family, friends and lovely christmas letters over the last thirty years and we will miss the wonderful energy with which she lived her life and the breath of fresh air that accompanyied news of her interests and passions.
