However killed her needs death.
Pray hard Annie. I know this must be so hard for you as I find myself crying for your loss alot. As I have blabbed many times, my daughter, Maria Frances, is a Marine at Camp Pendelton. She knows and does not allow any harrassement. In the name of your sister, Maria Frances Lauterbach. Her Marine pictures has been copied and hangs on my living room wall next to my daughters. She will ALWAYS be one of my heros while here on this earth. She will FOREVER be YOUR guardian Angel. Remember that when it gets hard Annie, remember Maria and pray and then smile for her!!!!!

Annie, thanks for doing another page. I didn't know about it until I was looking around. I love you and hope you and the family are doing well. I love you Maria
I happened to find this memorial for Maria (only just now, or else I'd have written sooner). There is so much evil-but I have to believe that good WILL eventually triumph. My heart goes out to all who grieve for this beautiful woman who was serving her country. She and her son deserved a better fate.
I had only breifly heard about Maria this last winter. I dont watch the news much because its so depressing. I watched all news stories about her today and cant help but cry for Maria and the Lauterbach family. I will pray for you all that God will bring some comfort and understanding in this difficult time. My husband was a Marine...(once a Marine always a Marine).....and in that time it was hard to get anything accomplished or fixed if we had problems. I believe that they could have done more for her. May God rest his healing hand on your hearts and watch over your Maria and her baby until we see them again in heaven.
Dear Anne and the Lauterbach family, My wife and I would like to extend our deepest and sincerest condolences for the loss of your beautiful sister and daughter and her unborn son. There is so much tragedy in the news it seems impossible to not become calloused and disconnected in order to carry on with our daily lives and I'm ashamed to admit that this story only caught my attention a few weeks ago when I happened to see the follow-up piece on CNN with the video of Maria on the soccer fields. It's as if a hand reached acrossed the room and grabbed me and it has not let go. My wife, who was born and raised in Dayton, and I met, many years ago, while working at the airport there in Vandalia. We still visit relatives there and have had many family members attend the University of Dayton. Our niece, Meredith, was taken from us under somewhat similar circumstances in 1988. She, too, was adopted as an infant, loved her sports, and was only 20 years old at the time. She rests in Woodland cemetery there in Dayton and we still miss her very much. Thank you, Anne, for this wonderful tribute page. Your photos give us all at least a glimpse of the truly amazing sister maria was. Thank you, Mary, for making sure that Maria's story is told, that our collective awareness of the alarming rates of violence toward women in the military can be raised in the hopes that some future tragedies will be averted. Both your actions take the strength and courage that most of us can only wish we would muster under circumstances such as these. Perhaps some part of that strength is from Maria's spirit residing in you. There will be many difficult days yet to come, no doubt, but your faith, strength, and good memories of Maria will surely see you through. May God surely bless and bring peace to you all.
Anne, Laurean has been captured!!!!!!!! Now justice WILL prevail! Hooorahhhh!!
I didn't know Maria, but her story was heartbreaking. May her soul rest in peace and justice be prevailed.
