It was wonderful to meet many of my father's past friends and business colleagues at the recent service held for Dad in Burwood. Over the years, Dad told many stories of his old pals, and those crazy days working in his chosen field - the Australian film and television industry - about the people, the places, and the antics. I was a child when I first heard those stories, so it was particularly poignant to meet some of these friends and colleagues from Crawford Productions, other film industry connections, and from his days as a school boy. Thank you. With special thanks to Andy and Val. Arlene Cochrane (nee Parker).
I was very touched to see many of my father's past friends and business colleagues at the service held for Dad in Burwood last week. He often talked about his past work - fabulous stories about the people, the places and the antics. I was a child when I first heard these stories. To meet the wonderful people he spoke of, in person, was a lovely experience. It made me see my father as not just a Dad, but a warm and well-liked friend to many. He was moulded by his field of work - The Australian film and television industry - and it obviously was a field he loved and thrived in. Thank you to his associates from Crawford Productions and his other film industry friends, and special thanks to Andy and Val. With fond regards, Arlene Cochrane (nee Parker).
