I have many memories of John. He was the most interesting correspondent; I have kept all the letters he wrote to me from 1986 onwards. He was an original thinker, so that there was a wealth of knowledge to draw on in our conversations. He was unassuming and always willing to learn more - and more! My partner Horst and I went with him to Sovereign Hill, and John was as eager as a child in exploring and learning. He was also a serious, courageous and spiritual man. We shared a love of serious music and he sent me some of his musical compositions (I am a composer). I would like to know more about his last years. Can someone fill me in on the details? Did he have a peaceful, easy death? Did he finish his homebirth book? - so vitally needed! My email address is: bslavoff@yahoo.com.au. With love, Brenda Slavoff
John assisted me to birth my son in 1979. A very special man who stood up to powerful forces to carry on with what he believed in and provided we young women with a wonderful alternative to the rigid hospital system of the times. Will always have a special place in our family history. Susan Livsey mother of Alexander Edwards Brunswick 1979
