Too many to list, really. But some include my clarinet lessons with him when I lived in Sydney -- which often ended with us having a few drams (we were both fond of Scotland's finest export -- and a memorable night in London when we tried to drink Australia House dry. I think we came close. A nicer man I have never met and my respect and admiration for his musicianship will always remain sky-high. RIP, John. You were a great Australian.
