He was much loved and treasured in our house. We did not see Uncle Johnny and his family very often but this did mean that they meant any less to us than all of Mum's other brothers who lived nearby. Uncle Johnny was always full of love and happiness to all men and woman. He brouht laughter and fun always. I have a particular fond memeory of Mum and Uncle Johnny playing cobbler at Yai yai and Papoos house in grange Street. Also a very young memory of my first visit to the Marricville shop when I went toi Sydney with Mum for Uncle Stanley's wedding. He was a man of great generosity and decency and I know he will be be missed greatly by Aunty Mary and the boys. I send you my deepest sympathy and regards and hope that your pain passes peacefully. with sincerest wishes Maria Lurighi
