A flower behind her ear, a smile on her face and a beautiful genuine warm greeting everytime you met. I am so saddened by Janet's death and regret not taking the Tumut broom I had for her to the last Shire's conference in June this year. Janet was a passionate, enthusiastic and motivated councillor and local government member who always made people feel special and valued. I value the years I knew her and regret the times I won't have with her in the future. To her family, my wish is that you find some comfort in knowing how many people loved and admired Janet, and what an amazing lady she was and the fact that her memory will continue to influence many of us.

A down to earth and friendly presence on the Local Government and Shires Assoc committees.Your presence always warmed the proceedings. See ya Janet. There a heap for all your family and friends to celebrate!

Very warm memories of Janet and Mike out at the Prickle Farm in Gundaroo, warm Saturday or Sunday mornings/afternoons, sometimes some jamming, but with Janet providing the sensible organisation and structure. Janet was a fellow birth mother with my wife Vivien, so Tom and my Catherine are cribb siblings. Lost track in the last 20 years after Janet went her separate and successful way in the Kempsey district. My condolences to Tom, Amy, Elizabeth and Jack. You have lost an energetic full of life mum.
