James' always showed the best of us, even when times were not looking good. From the day I meet him a NJROTC at Mar Vista till the end, he showed determination in which only a few show. His family and the United States Army has lost one of the best that this nation has to offer. James is the embodiment of an American and a patriot that that gave all and asked little in return. I am proud to call James a classmate, friend and a brother in arms.

James' always showed the best of us, even when times were not looking good. From the day I meet him a NJROTC at Mar Vista till the end, he showed determination in which only a few show. He has given me help in life, motivation, and the determination to "keep moving" forward even if the odds do not look so good. His family and the United States Army has lost one of the best that this nation has to offer. James is the embodiment of an American and a patriot that that gave all and asked little in return. I am proud to call James a classmate, friend and a brother in arms.

James' courage and determination to become a leader and serve his country is inspirational. We are deeply saddened by his loss but hope some day that we will cross paths once more.
