Jaena Mylie...my only niece and "goddaughter" who never kissed me first! I will never forget the way you'd be the first one to me and stand there and wait for me to kiss you. How backwards is that! LOL! Your spunkiness was contagious. Always wanting to kick it with your cousins and friends-never wanting anyone to go home...chasing Justin and tackling him coz he wouldn't give you a kiss. You are so missed Neni Girl...as I sitnd type my eyes are filled with tears. Not just tears from missing you but for all the memories I have of you cracking me up too =) You were and will always be my other Tahitian Princess waiting on Saturdays for us to come and get you and trying to get your mommy to say yes to let Jasmyn stay. We love you Neni and think of you everyday. Watch over us baby and be our Guardian Angel... Every rainbow I see in that great big sky will be my constant reminder of you,our little artist, still painting this world to be a more beautiful place. Nina Angie loves you...

Nen, was always different. From the time I found out I was pregnant with her! Being that Marshall and I were married, it was such a joy to tell my parents without any hesitation that we were having a baby. I called my mom at work to tell her right after I took a pregnancy test. Jaena ended up being premature (due in October), born in September. We all thought it was because she wanted to be born in September like me, Nessa and my mom. She was our "5lb sack of sugar" as her daddy had said. Eight years is barely enough to have had her....but as we all know, our children are only 'loaners" from God. I struggle everyday.....every single day wanting to see her face and hear her voice. My heart hurts and will never be mended until I meet her again. Life will never be the same because of the emptiness of losing a child.......a child I carried for 8 months, that I delivered into this world and had to bury at such a young age. I don't know how to go on...but will try to in her honor because of my 3 other children and loving husband. I can't hate life - or be mad. But I will take comfort in my memories that I hold dear to my heart of the days... ALL the days that I had with Jaena....up until the day she passed away and had told me "just hold me Mommy" as she was having her asthma attack. I miss you my baby! I will forever love you! Until the day we meet again.........

Jaena baby!!! You know ninang Cat is usually loud and off the hook, right?! but for some reason, on our snow trip I watched you lil' wild things play in the snow. You were on a mission to build a snow tunnel. You told me you were going to dig out the snow from one end of the hugggge pile to the other side. You were sooo determined and outgoing as always! I watched you closely and thought you were seriously on a mission?! Then I busted out the Chichacorn -- remember that?! lol. That was soo good in the snow, huh?! You were asking me for more, and I promised I'd give you more when we got back to the car. When we finally got to the cars, everyone wanted to eat the chichacorn, but I saved you a bag for the road :o). I'll never forget your smile and spunkiness! We miss you every day and pray for you always. We love you with all our hearts and will never ever ever forget you!!

I remember when Jaena couldn't say my name, so she started the name A'Rina. She was so in touch with emotions and feelings , knew how to have fun, joke around, have smart alec remarks, could cut you with her tongue but also so loving, compassionate and caring. Our family jokester and artist. I will never forget when she was 4 years old, hopped into my car, and screamed ,"Yo, yo yo, what's the 411, yo?' Zae and I just sat in the car and cracked up. Always begging for Manang Alexis to come spend the night and hang out..jamba juice, chow fun, breakfast omelettes, our sleep-overs, RICE, sinigang, chocolate, Cooking Mama, and so much more . I miss you and love you so much Nen, you will always be in my heart and soul..A'rina love you!
