Wow, you don't realize the impact of the "GREATS" until a day such as this arrive. Isaac was I-iced soul * C-charismatic * O-original * N-never forgotten sound. I am so glad that I have had the opportunity to ride on the waves of some the best sounds of r & b growing up. He truly remains at the top of the A-list of music. Nothing like music that touches your soul when played. My condolences to the Hayes family. Mr. Hayes you will be sorely missed. Love ya!

We have lost a household legend that was played on a daily basis in the early and late 70's. His music was a instrument that could sooth the soul of the average sister or brother that was in trouble or trying to fix a problem. He will be truly missed. His music will continue to live on as a instrument of strength to the soul.

Years ago I heard Isaac on a Kiss FM interview in NYC where he was talking about music, and how you had to give a little of yourself in the music. This inspired me to continue writing, and making music. I had coveyed this story to him as a myspace friend in recent history, and thanked him for being there musically during my childhood to present days. He is still with us. In all of Us. When you here him sing, you can,t help but sing along. This is what he gave us. Him... in Us... He gave himself... You will always be loved for this... Live eternal my father... Live Eternal.....

Your music transcended the barriers that humans place between ourselves. From the Stax/Volt days to now you are forever entwined in our lives. We mourn your passing and are forever indebted to you for the classics you gave us. Please smile upon us as we reflect on your life and the gift you gave us.

I can remember my arents having their usual house party. It started on friday night and lasted to late sunday night. I remember the old music Issac Hayes was one of the favorites was Ikes' Rap. Some of the Theme from Shaft songs! Just the effect that the inside jacket picture had on NY of him in those chains drove the city wild. Those were the days....

You will definately be missed. Rest in Peace Mr. Hayes.
