For years,(Burt) Baskin & (Irv) Robbins made ice cream creations fun. Long before Ben & Jerry's with it's "Cherry Garcia" and other cockamany flavors, Baskin-Robbins offer thousands of flavors. Some realistic (Jamoca Almond Fudge), some decent (Nutty Coconut), and the rest, ridiculous (In honor of my favorite theme park: Six Flags Over Georgia). To Irv Robbins from all the ice cream lovers everywhere, we love you and we miss you.

Baskin-Robbins is hosting its second annual 31 Cent Scoop Night on April 30, 2008 from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. at all 2,700 stores nationwide. Baskin-Robbins is partnering with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation for the event to honor America's firefighting heroes and will be donating $100,000 to the organization. During the event, ice cream scoops will be reduced to 31 cents.
