Helen was an effective and fair manager who seemed to see the big picture. At appropriate times she would show her appreciation of the efforts of her staff by giving them small gifts. While on holidays in Asia, Helen found time and luggage space to bring back many tiny containers of massage balm to hand around to her large staff on her return. This made me feel she appreciated my efforts and wanted to share the pleasure and relaxation she derived from her holiday.
Helen, thank you for being an inspiration. I take my hat off to you for your courage in the face of such adversity. You never complained or felt sorry for yourself and you took time out to listen to my troubles. I will miss our talks at work. I wish you LOVE, PEACE AND GOODBYE Love Peter Bennet (co-worker at Stanton Library)
