i am sorry that I have only just heard of the death of GORDON. I am so sorry and I will miss him. I still have the Somewhere vinyl record in my collection.(I have loved them since I bought it in the 60s) Peter and Gordon played a huge part of the 60s scene and I shall never forget them. I have only just ordered a C.D. replacement for this album. They have given me so much pleasure for nearly 50 years. All my heroes are going! I suppose that is the price of getting old. I shall never forget himj. A WONDERFUL SINGER. please accept my condolances. LOVE YOU ALL.

I went to see Peter and Gordon when they were in Cleveland, Ohio in April of 1966. I was a young teenage girl and it was the highlight of my life to see them. I must have gotten close to the stage, because I remember for an instant making eye contact with Gordon. In March 2008 they came back to Cleveland to play at the Mood Dog Coronation Ball. I dragged hubby with me and it was 1966 all over again. Thank you Gordon for making such wonderful music. You will be deeply misse.

Peter and Gordon headlined the first concert that I saw in Akron Ohio in 1965. Along with Tom Jones, The Turtles, Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, and one or two more I can't remember, it was definitely worth the $2.50 price. Peter and Gordon were who I came to see and they didn't let me down. They ushered in my personal connection with the British invasion. 44 Years later, May 8, 2009, just 2 short months before Gordon's untimely death, I got to see them again in Kent Ohio. They sounded BETTER THAN EVER. I was lucky enough to talk to them briefly after the concert and thank them for all the Great Music they brought to the world. I never forgot that first concert in '65 and told that to Gordon as I shook his hand. I'll never forget the last concert either. Goodnight sweet prince.

I was a teen during the British Invasion, and have always really admired Peter and Gordon's music. Great songs, beautiful vocal renditions, and excellent arrangements played by top notch instrumentalists. I especially like the charming novelty pieces "Lady Godiva" and "The Knight in Rusty Armour." My husband and I were so sad to learn that we've lost Gordon, but deeply touched to read the wonderful remembrances by his sisters, other family members, and friends on Peter and Gordon's MySpace site. Check these out. We are thankful to have enjoyed the unique creativity and warmth that Gordon and his marvelous partner Peter so generously shared with all of us.

The '64-'67 period, comprising most of college, remains a baseline for my life. Peter & Gordon's music was part of the background and the texture of this time. Gordon's death leaves me shocked & saddened. Such an early death is first a tragedy for the man & his family, but after this a tragedy for our generation as a whole. Even the recent photo of them, looking so old, is shocking. (Dr.) Bruce J. Schneider

After listening to my older sisters records(I am now 52) I became a huge fan of the British Invasion and especially Peter and Gordon. Last year I had the priviledge of attending their concert on Long Island.(Chad and Jeremy were there too.(Can You Imagine)All of the music brought back great memories for me - especially the Lady Godiva song which made me laugh. I really made a fool of myself at the concert-laughing,.crying,singing and dancing and when the show was over the people in my row came over to me and said they enjoyed watching ME more than the show.Little did I know they were members of Gordons family! I told them to tell both Peter and Gordon it was a night I will never forget. I was so hoping to see them again this year, but I am so grateful I got to see this fantastic duo who gave me so much enjoyment at least once.I am sure Gordon is in heaven singing Lady Godiva and making the angels laugh. God bless you sir and thank you for my musical memories.

Have been a fan all these years, and can still sing along word for word. Great songs at a great time and for all time. So many gone to soon.

This is Lennon/McCartney masterpiece A World Without Love. Peter and Gordon were one of the greatest pop-rock duos of the sixties, formed by Peter Asher and Gordon Waller
