A humble man who worked at FAIRFIELD INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL respirator workshop maintaining iron lung respirators for ward 12 patients which is where I met him when I contracted polio in 1956,despite our huge age difference he was to become a friend . When I again needed a respirator in 1972 following respiratory failure he designed a self opening and closing one for me so I could live independently at home...forever grateful RIP GEORGE
