Geoff was one of my first bosses and certaintly one of the most memorable! Thanks for giving me the confidence to question the status quo and for all that red wine consumed over lunches! All my good thoughts go to Helen and the boys. Mary Stanley
I met Geoff in 1984. We developed a strong friendship built on mutual respect, a touch of irreverance and a liking for red wine and squash (not at the same time) - that's squash the game, not squash the vegetable. Sorry about the finger caught in the glass squash court door, Geoff. It was a great return. Helen, Sam, Max, David, Adam, my deepest sympathy. I am so sorry I only heard of Geoff's passing too late to attend the funeral. However, in the true spirit of GT, I had a good glass of red for the memories, and Susan and I will have a quiet lunch at the European in the forthcoming weeks to enjoy a sip of the European wines Geoff so enjoyed - to his memory. Good life well lived GT. (And Geoff, you will understand that the choice of icon for this message is ridiculously limited and somebody should have realised the opportunity to provide a user pays system such that users could pay what they considered a fair price for a wide range of graphical images, unconstrained by editors views of what the 'general population ' likes etc. etc. I finally chose the plane - ever the optimist, enjoy the ride!) I remember and will always cherish happy times in January at Lorne with Geoff, Helen and boys. Bill C
