I new Gary many years ago. He was one of those rare people, that if you are really lucky you get to meet in your life. He wasa turely good man, inteligent , funny, articulate, joyful and extremely talented. He made the video of my wedding, in true style, it was funny and insightful, he took the opportunity to create a documentary that examined the meaning of what it is to be married, recorded everyones veiw of marriage, and he also managed to make it into a crime mystery to boot. It is a great memory and has always had the added joy of having left with me what I learnt from knowing him. I am sure he would have been happy to know that Malcolm and I are still married and have a joyful family as well. I had not had the pleasure of seeing him for many years, but he was indeed one of those rare people who stays with you.

Gary met you with a smile He was transparent and true. He could encourage you with words if his smile wouldn't do. Gary reached for the stars regardless of the obstacles. And believed that you could too. Let's carry on that belief in each other and greet each other with a smile and encouraging words. Gary would like that.
