I have so many wonderful memories of my darling Grandmother. She was a beautiful caring woman who would fight to protect and defend her large family whom she loved very much. She loved me all of my life and that love was freely extended to Fred when we married, and I will always remember her joy when our boys Kevin, Scott and Andrew were born. That love never ever wavered. I remember her cooking with Great Grandma in the kitchen in Stanthorpe..rows of sterilized bottles lined up on the table waiting to be filled with the jams and preserves that were bubbling away on the wood stove. I have memories of her swinging an axe chopping the wood for that stove. I remember often visiting her at work . Whether it was clearing tables at Lennons, serving smallgoods at the deli or using the presses at Fullers drycleaners she was always a hard worker. I remember her moving a lot and visiting her in many different flats, they were usually small and often shared with Uncle Jim but i loved to visit. She would visit us often and I remember waiting on Sundays at the front fence for the bus that she would arrive on and the smile on her face as we went running to greet her. On these visits the furniture was often pushed to the side and both Mum and Grandmother would dance around the loungeroom with us. One of my happiest memories of Grandmother teaching me how to do the Charlston..it was so much fun. Christmas was always a very special time and I do not recall her ever being away from us for Christmas..even when she lived in Sydney she always came home to Mum's. I guess what I will always remember and cherish the most is that even when Alzheimers robbed her of many of her memories she never forgot who I was and never stopped loving me. Grandmother When I need some love and care You're someone who's always there With kindly words, you're like no other You are a wonderful Grandmother. I love you soo much and miss you my darling Grandmother, but you will be in my heart and my thoughts forever. Your devoted Granddaughter Karen xx

I loved watching Isabella Grace with you - your 4th great-great grandchild - she loved to sit on your lap and give you kisses and cuddles :) you were always scared you were going to drop her but she always sat so still for you - I am glad that you had the opportunity to meet each other and I am sad that you just missed meeting your 6th great-great-grandchild - my second baby girl, Georgia Rose, by just a couple of weeks - but I think you met her in Heaven before she was born. We miss you and love you very much xoxoxoxoxo

Great Grandma, I will miss seeing your face light up when you saw your family, the way you called me ‘Pet’ and listening to your stories, pretending it was the first time you had told me. One things for sure - You will never be forgotten – when I see the colour red, I will think of you, when I smell the scent of ginger I will think of you and when I go to bed each night, I will dream of you. Until we meet again – goodbye my angel, I love you
