I worked with Fred at ICI Australia (he was known to us as "Freddie"). I worked at Botany Research and Freddie in administration as Project Engineer. On one occasion in 1973 my car required mechanical repairers. I needed a lift to work, I soon discovered that Freddie lived around the corner from me in Greenwich. Freddie was quick to offer a lift to Botany and on the way to work we indulged in a conversations about music. Subsequently we would bump into each other at various concerts and up to 2009 at ICI Australia Retiree Club. I remember Freddie very fondly - George Sternfeld
