I was doing some spring cleaning and found a tape that Erin and I used to listen to while cruising around in Erin's old trans-am. The memories came flying back!! Think of you often my friend!! Wish you were here!!!

I fought along side Erin, as well as worked on casualties with him. Calm, collected, professional, humorous, a true leader. I will never forget you brother. May you rest easy, for your duty is done.

I learned about Master Corporal Doyle from The Legion magazine on line. From what I learned about him, he will be remember by all that knew him; I didn’t know him but I now morn his loss. He was obviously a Canadian Patriot, and I would like to thank him, his family; and all the other Canadians that have sacrificed, there life or bodies to help protect my family and me in Fort Worth, Texas U.S. I pray for the U.S. Military and our allies all the time, but I pray a little harder for the one’s that have a Maple Leaf or the Union Jack on there flag. Good bless A.R.P. III

In Memory of Erin When a soldier dies, Though he has fallen, he will surely rise, In the hearts of those left behind, In our thoughts and memories entwined. The dusk of war will near, A dawn of hope will ring clear, And this soldier will rise; We need only lift our eyes. He is never far, though he is gone. His honoured memory will live on. For this, we rest our sorrow: When a soldier dies, he will live in our tomorrow. He will never fade away, As we remember him today, And evermore. by Gracie Benz

In 2006, Erin visited our Brownie Unit to talk to our girls about his role in the community, nation and and world as a peace keeper. He was a wonderful guest, and really took the time to speak to the girls, and share his experiences with him. I was so impressed with his manner, personality, and example to the girls. After our meeting was ended, he told me he would love to come back, and really enjoyed himself. I was saddened to hear of his passing, and have heard from some of the girls who were at the meeting. They remembered him, too, and commented on how much they had liked him, and were sad to hear he had been killed. Erin definitely made a difference in their lives, and mine - even though we only interacted for a short time frame. Our condolences to you, he was a wonderful, caring man.

I met Erin probably 12 to 15 years ago when he was friends with my father in Kamloops, BC. He was a very kind and genuine person, and he really loved his family. They (him and my dad) were both so proud when they cleaned up my dad's tow truck to win first place in the car show. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in this terrible time.
