Working with Emma, meeting her through Toby at Hornby High, You were always so positive and never judgemental. I enjoyed our catch ups over lunch after you left school. You did not deserve this. Love to the Agnew family, my thoughts are with you all xx

I never got the chance to meet you although I know your mother well. Your death affected our family so much and my heart went out to Louise and her family straight away, which is why I visited Louise as soon as I heard the news. Always remembered, never forgotten xo

I taught Emma English when she was in Year 11 at |Hornby High School. She was always a pleasant, friendly and enthusiastic member of the class. I was utterly shocked and saddened when I heard of her death while looking up NZ news in London. My thoughts are with the entire Agnew family during this difficult time. A bright light blown out too quickly.

Hi Henry and Louise I worked with your family for a month about 15 years ago through the nanny school. I remember Emma as a gorgeous 4 year old with blonde curly hair. I have a lovely photo of her in her pink and white candy stripe togs, which I will try to find and somehow send to you. My thoughts are with you in this awful time, and I hope that good friends and faimly help get you through this. Take care, Shelley Patrick

Yea I Also never knew Emma! Unfortunately. Seemed to be bubbly by media, happy. I thought it was a amazing how the community came together and put posters up around the city. Discussed her and all hoped. But unfortunately... Not every person is good or evil... I too was born in '87... Lets fight.... awareness... change... support youth; they are future. teachers, resources, experiences, needs funds/TIME. thanks to Bono from U2.. and other auction supporters :)

I felt sad thinking of Emma and her family today, what a beautiful gifted child, how proud her parents must be, as with her passing she touched our hearts, such a wonderful young woman who will be missed and remembered here in Christchurch as the special person she always will be. May the beautiful memories of your child give you peace, my deepest heartfelt sympathies to Emma's family.

Emma butterflys are beautiful as were you. You shouldn't have been taken from your family who loved you. I'm a friend of Ben's and he is is an important part of my life. He taught me about Deaf culture and he is so proud. I love him and his boys Damiano and Romeo who taught me so much. Love his neighbour who was always too old but even through the fights we talked so much through sign.

It is hard to find the right words to express my deep sorrow for the loss of Emma. I am an interpreter in Perth W.A., who did not know Emma personally but reading all the lovely tributes about her,.. I feel I missed out BIG time on not having the pleasure to know her. I want to as a hearing person, apoligise to emma's family and friends for all the facts that hearing ppl have done these past weeks. I have no words for the hearing to express my anger!..it is too hard to find the words..there are no words that can explain it is too terrible. But now is not the time for finger pointing..Now is Emma's time to be remembered for what she bought to the world in her short life..Her love! I will forever remember the name Emma Agnew ..as a beautiful girl who I wish I had the pleasure to meet. My prayers go out to you all, for strength and love as you support each other in this the most devastating of times. God Bless!
