Mothers Day 2012 ,still miss you mum and wish you were here.
I have fond memories of Elspeth as a young lad, too young to call her by her first name, she was always 'Mrs Wayman'. A very strong, warm lady who always welcomed me into her home, (once I got past the dog) to tea and shortbread. As a nurse, she assisted my mother with her 'woman's problem' and was very helpful in her recovery with her optimistic and professional approach. My mother Erna is there in the B/W group photo, in front of Eric and Elsie. We all admire the dedication that Eric showed when Elsie could no longer care for herself. She was a good friend to our family, a wonderful mother to Eric and , all in all, a great Australian. Vale, Elspeth.
Elspeth in latter years at Amity Nursing home suffering from dementia unfortunately the disease ruined her final 8-10 years (she spent approx. 8 in care)
Elspeth and her mother Catherine Riddell at Royal Hospital for Women Paddington Sydney for Elspeths certificate presentation (approx. 1954 )
