I met Dutch back in 74 and have enjoyed both his career and friendship since My thoughts are with his family and frirnds. No one can ever replace the man. He really was the Aussie Blues King. From the days at The Windsor with the odd pot or two and the pool table of course to gigs at Caulfield Uni he always gave it his best. Hey remember The Lermon Tree they are the good old days and will stay with me forever. If you gety a chance to listen to the Dutch play acoutic Over the Rainbow Just sit back and remember the legend that he was. Keep The Faith

I'm about to dig out a cuppla Dutch LP vinyls from way back and have a listen. Condolences from a fan who stumbled across a couple of albums in the 70s and instantly got it. Condolences to friends and family - I will continue to enjoy Dutch's talents as ever I have.

My fondest memories are the great times at the Windsor Castle for the Jam nights in the mid to late 80's, man this guy could gather a mob of great musicians and always shared with us his music and humour, he'd cruise the crowd to see who had turned up for the night and give a nod to those he would like to share the stage with, some played, Love to you my friend, rest well. I met Dutch at a Blues New Years Eve gig at Mount Moriac in 2006, he was amazing. His energy and rythem was outstanding. His songs were stories and they were sung by one of the best. He made his guitar talk with a passion and excitement of a true master of his instrament. I often listen to his cd's with very fond memories and remember the night I met one of the greatest music masters of our time. Dutch may you rest in peace and play your music forever in the clouds- warmest wishes to your family Jen Ballarat
