Dear Diana, Wendy, Sue, Sadhan & families, I only heard today of Stan's passing, I have many fond memories of Stan & Jean & am sure his wise council & humour will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered. All my best wishes to you all. Adam Guest
On 22 February, 2011, I had lunch with Stan and Wendy at his house in Chatswood. At 95 he was utterly lucid, delightful, and calm--even after my daughter Beth rang on my mobile to tell me there'd been another earthquake in Christchurch, where the Goulstons and I both have family (uninjured in the quake). This occasion was the most unusual one in my life with a person of his age; and while I've mind and breath I know I will not forget it. As soon as I got home, I read and re-read his collection of poems, this time in the paperback given to me by Wendy. He was a wonderful man. O wonderful, wonderful, and yet again wonderful (Shakespeare). Love to all the Goulstons from Susan Reibel Moore
