Brian was a very dear and special friend and one of the first Ozzies I met in London. He truly was a gentle man and such a sweetie, I had met John and was intoduced to Brian and Jim who welcomed me as only ozzies can, I will never forget meeting Brian for the first time, he was all curled up in a large chair as only Brain could. I remember fondly our lovely drives to Monkey island on a Sunday with other Ozzie mates, Brian driving one handed and all curled up at the speed of light - no 05 in those days or speed limits!! We have been friends for over 40 years and I count myself very privileged to have known him. My love and deepest sympathy go to Carole and Tim, Michael and Elizabeth. Brian was so brave, it is hard to believe that only twelve months ago we were celebrating John's and my 40th wedding anniversary and he was well but recovering from his anklle operation.
