I "met' Doug when I was 2 yrs old in the middle of the highlands of Papua New Guinea at a place called Nondugl. Did I remember him,no not really,but I remember a man always carrying around a black thing which was always pointing at me. The famous picture I loved the most was me sticking my tongue out at him and the picture was taken. So the book The Jimi River Expedition was born with my parents Neptune and Olga Blood. My father "Nep as Doug liked to call him..were good friends. I think Doug learned a lot of about fauna and flora from my Dad. I used to pick up the phone and call any time either to Elaine or Doug...I will miss that so badly.
