Daddy one very special memory I have of you is when you were really sick, not too long before you died. You and Mother had been shopping somewhere and you bought me a box of chocolates. Ya'll stopped by our house and you were too sick to get out of the car, so you asked for me to come outside to the car where you surprised me with the box of chocolates. That was such a small, sweet gesture, but you will never know how much that meant to me. I also remember when we celebrated Jordan's 2nd birthday and you were supposed to attend with Mother. This was 11 months before you died. Mother called me that day and said you were too weak to come, so she was coming alone. I still get tears in my eyes when I remember her pulling up and you were in the car. Even though you were so very sick, you pushed yourself to be there for his party. I remember crying when I saw you because I know how hard that must have been for you and it meant the world to me. I love you more than words can say, Daddy. Someday we will all be together again and that is a day I look forward to. I'm taking care of Mama for you now, Daddy. She's now 87 years old and lives with us. We talk about you all the time. You don't have to worry about her because I'm going to make sure she's taken care of as long as she lives. Love you, Daddy. Connie
