To Ian, Peter and Julie, Apologies from Brenda Comtesse and myself (her niece Pamela) that we did not make the funeral today. Brenda is suffering short term memory loss and did not tell me in time that she received a call from you, otherwise I would have taken her to your Dad's funeral. I have many fond memories of Bruce, a very loving man and his close relationship with his cousin, particularly my mother Alison. Mum loved him dearly and she always spoke of how he had escorted her to the Miss Australian pagent when she was a contestant. I know they were very close and I know Bruce kept in contact with her until she went into a nursing home and with Betty and Brenda. My deepest thoughts are with you now that you have lost your dear father - I know only too well what it is like to lose a father (and a mother).
