Boyd and Jean were our neighbours and Boyd was the person who convinced Bruce (my husband) and Kim (our eldest son) to join the Stamp Club. Boyd would faithfully deliver the stamp book and have a little chat. I used to catch up with him at the St Ives Shops and once in a while have a coffee with him to bring him up to date with what is happening at the National Trust when I was president. He has always been supportive of me and my various heritage activities and very encouraging in his own quiet way. He was always a gentleman and very interested in his neighbourhood and its residents. I just remarked to my husband last week about not seeing Boyd aroundanymore at the shops. He was so happy having lunch with David. I miss his presence and our few words of short talk. God bless Boyd and what joy to be with Jean again.
