I was so saddened to find out today that Beryl had passed away in February. In the 70s when we moved in across the road, she was always ready to help Mum however she could. Many times she even used to remove the washing from the line so as to give Mum a helping hand, as she knew Mum was at work full time in those early days. When we moved in, I was 5 and Jayne Cherie was about 2 or 3. We grew up together on that street, riding our bikes and going to each others' birthdays ( i have photos). When Lew passed away in 1985 I think, so young, it took a toll on Beryl. She found the strength to carry on. I'm so sorry I missed Beryl's funeral. If Jayne Cherie or other family see this message, please contact me on donella7@tpg.com.au, as I would dearly like to visit her resting place. It is at times like this that I wish i visited her more often when she was alive. However we all take each other for granted until it is too late. Donella
