Dearest Ben,How does one possibly begin to sum up what a truly amazing person you were. So many wonderful memories and only one regret since I met you all those years ago. We were both travelling the world however we never seemed to be on the same side. Please forgive me for loosing touch. It is so very easy to do but one I wish I hadn’t with you. What a package ….you had it all. That infectious laugh, the smile, the charm, the sincerity and that unbelievable zest for life.I have played over and over in my mind the wonderful times we and others shared together. The days at the beach, the Sunday afternoon drives just for something to do, the conversations, the get togethers and some of the other things that all you boys know what I am talking about however I refuse to mention. I do also have some memories of the tough times that all of us at some time or another endured. You were always the first to arrive and always the last to leave. A true friend and something that is so very rare to come by in this world.I will cherish these memories forever.Thank you for giving me the honour of being your friend.My sincerest condolences to all of Ben’s family and friends.Love to you alwaysMel

We first met Ben 8 years ago when we moved in next door to his grandparents Jim and Vi. Over the years seeing him when he would visit and at christams time was always a joyful experience. You are a beautiful person and you will be very sadly missed by many and remembered always. We offer our support and send sympathy to Paul, Katherine, Mark, Lisa and Grandad Jim. We only knew you for a minute but were touched by your zest for life. We were so shocked today when reading our local paper The Gold Coast Bulletin seeing your picture and what had happened. You told us of your jump of Q1 and how you didn't get caught. We said how brave you were to try those things and you said you just loved it. We send our heartfelt condolences to your family and friends and hope that you are flying freely somewhere in the clouds.

Ben was a wonderful guy who had one of the cheekiest and most infectious laughs I've ever heard. Ben was full of energy and life, and wherever he went he left a trail of smiles behind. We watched Ben blossom at work, always taking on bigger and better jobs as he got more experienced, and always keeping in touch no matter where he was in Australia or overseas. My heart goes out to Ben's family, Lisa, and his many friends. I know that he loved and valued all of you, and I've listened with a smile on my face to years worth of stories and adventures. I will never forget the time i asked you how the rush felt,you drove me from valentine servo to warners bay on the bonnet of your panno with only your wiper arms to hold onto.,I will never forget these memories of parties surf and clubbing that made the bloke I knew.I hope the rush was worth it you crazy prick ,I`ll always cherish times spent with you benny you were always the highlight of anywhere you went. Ben, you were always full of fun. Happy, smiling, carefree. Its so hard to understand that we'll never see that beautiful, infectious smile again . I'm so glad we caught up with you at Christmas. We had the most wonderful , happy time listening to all your amazing stories about where you'd been and what you were doing. And the photos! Your eyes were just on fire with delight when you showed us your pictures from your travels. Steve and Pete always looked forward to you coming to see us. They loved you too. We'll never forget you. Thinking of you mate, wish we could have done some lobs together at Nagambie that time. So happy to have met you working in Melbourne earlier this year, we didn't get along at first but by the end of the day we were in a pub together. We shared a love of skydiving and it meant a lot when you said you were impressed with what we were doing in skydiving. Our friends in common, that we realised later on, they all worshiped you as a god of the good times. I'm so touched to have known you, you have been a inspiration since I met you. Well Benny you are a great mate who we have had many many crazy times with. Lets say it was NEVER boring with you around. I remember the very first jump you ever done, matt you and i drove to dropzone you tried so hard to get matt up there, that didnt happen. I remember matt and i just watching you in amazement thinking you have so much guts. From that day on you were hooked. As we drove away, you still buzzing we drove past a bungee jump and go cart place, you made us stop and turn back so you could have a go bungee jumping. We thought you were mad...but sure enough up you went and without hesitation off you went yahooing all the way down. We ended up at the entrance where you bought the little pendant on a black leather string and said that this is your memory of the perfect day, later (year or so) that pendant turned into the tattoo. I will treasure this day as i know it started something you were passionate about. Matt and I thank you always for our memories that we shared with you, you filled our hearts with love and we knew that no matter where each of us were we were only a phone call or an email away. Thanks for being our best man at our wedding we have since watched the wedding video with smiles on our faces and tears in our eyes. Benny we will miss you so very much, and will keep our memories so close to our hearts. Fly free now. All our love and please mind us a seat near you cause thats gunna be the party house. You are one of the funniest and sweetest person i've met in my life. Used to call me Kaby Boloffon and find it hilarious when i called him Cen Bannon but pronounced in Spanish <Sen Bannon> as i am mexican. Met him 7 years ago in Germany and managed to always stay in touch even with the, at least, 10,000 km distance in between. You were right, we will see each other again, in the most beautiful place there is. My condolences to all his friends but specially Lisa and his family, he was a great person and will be missed by many but I am sure he wants all of us to smile again the way he showed us.

see ya mate, i'll always miss the good old days in the shed at my place, i'd wake up the next morning to find you gone- on your way to Cessnock to jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane, could never understand why you would do that! But everyone has a love for something and that is what you loved, you lived for it. will miss and love you always clinto/coops.

Ben, You were the light of our lives. Our family misses you so much, a hole sits in our hearts knowing that we will never see your smile or hear you bound through the door again. Pretty hard to sum up in words the amazing person that Ben Cannon was. Always giggling, always smiling, always living every day to the absolute fullest, thats why we loved him so much. He had an unlimited energy supply that was so infectious, it just made you feel good to be around him, to spend time with him. He was my best friend and i am so gratefull for all the time we had together. So many great memories that can never be replaced. Never a dull moment when Ben was around!! I miss him so much, i miss sharing everything with him. I was looking forward to spending the rest of my life with Ben, but he left us doing the thing he loved most...flying free....
