Austin was an authentic and loyal friend who was always interested in my continuing progress through my Theology degree and my journey towards (God willing) ordination. It was an honour and a privilege to study with him as we achieved both the Bishop's Certificate in Theology and the Bishop's Diploma in Theology through the Newcastle School of Theology for Ministry. He was a very erudite man with an excellent sense of humour and a good voice for impersonations. He will be sadly missed.
