You were one of the last pieces of a puzzle in my life and one of the greatest dads a son in law could ask for! I will miss the great times we had playing golf together and the simple yet remarkable short jokes that you came up with while sitting at the dinner table that would amuse everyone. I will miss you dearly and will always remember the great times we had together. Love Phill

During our life, we develop many friends and aquaintances. Within that group, we have a small handful of best friends who we admire, trust and feel completely at ease with - Tony was one of those best friends who are hard to come by. Tony was always encouraging, motivating, interested in everything we did and always made me laugh. I shall miss him dearly. We could talk about everything and anything, and I always looked forward to our next conversation. I feel proud to have been his friend. Our love to Coral, Angela and Andrew.

I shall miss him dearly. He was the type of friend that you could be completely yourself with. He always made me laugh, always interested in what we were doing, always encouraging, always motivating. I am proud to have been his mate and will miss him always. He was a great guy. Our love to Coral, Angie and Andrew.

Christmas' and birthdays and the old house at Oleander which backed onto John Dwyer where we played cricket or kicked the footy depending on the season. These are my memories of Tony, always interested in everything that was going on in my life, a generous and selfless man and one who leaves us with many happy memories.

Tony and I worked together for quite a few years. We had some great conversations about our lives and our children. Tony was a lovely man. When he left to pursue a new line of employment, he came specifically to say goodbye and give me a goodbye hug. I will miss him.

Tony you were a bright light in every life you entered. You only needed for your family to be happy for you to be happy. You possessed a wicked sense of humour, great voice and were the perfect package playing every role we needed, uncle, father, brother. I will forever cherish my childhood memories of which you were a large part. You will be sadly missed but never far from our thoughts and our hearts. Love Lesley xxx

Recently Tony and Andrew joined us in Lake Tahoe, California USA. We went to a fancy restaurant and had the most fantastic meal and lovely conversation with the snow falling softly outside. We stuffed ourselves with the incredible desserts... even though we were already full (!!) and Tony shouted us all, a lovely and generous surprise. During those 3 days, we laughed, we sat by the fire and had fun in the snow. It was a treasured time, made all the more poignant with his passing. We are honoured to have known him and wish his closest family and friends our heartfelt condolences. He will be very missed. Love Leanne, Brad and Miles xx

There are so many wonderful memories, just normal everyday ones like all the times us holcrofts would spend having bbq's with you byrnes's :) and all the afternoon play times we had after school- wether it was dressing up cats or playing table tennis...if we were doing something or saying something silly Tony would look at us, shake his head in disbelief with a smile on his face and walk away lol. Ill always remember how much Tony has helped my mum in her times of need, how he's always there to help and give advice!I Most of all i remember the trips we all took, especially to Adaminiby..What a fun time we all had down there. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

He was the perfect father. He did everything for his family and nothing for his own glory. We will always love and miss him.
