Gran hosted many gourmet four course family dinners which were always accompanied by lashings of conversation and continued on until the wee hours of the night. There would be few children who could boast that they had experienced such culinary delights as Grans tantalizing chartreuse poached pears, colorful vanilla ice cream topped with Creame De Menthe, decedent liquor cherry chocolates or blue vein cheese served at room temperature with a selection of crackers. Memories to be cherished always.
I have so many fond memories of Josie but one of the most lasting is her exuberance and cheerfulness for people and life.
