The countless places we lived in together in Kings Cross. Loved to read. Buying clothes from Wayside Chapel. Lived on muesli for 2 weeks. Playing her guitar. Walked around barefoot. Loved Velvet Underground. Loved chocolate Copenhagen ice cream. Would spend her last $20 on a good book and then live on 2 minute noodles. Worked together at the Kings Cross Tobacconist. Loved red lolly frogs. Loved music. Hare Krishna for dinner. Liked playing Backgammon. All night sitting in the Piccolo Bar drinking hot chocolate and listening to the music on the jukebox. Loved a good debate on philosophy. And was always my soft place to fall. She was beautiful, intelligent, passionate, witty, loyal and exciting to be around. She did not know but had an aura that use to draw people in. Amiria and I had a great friendship in the mid to late 80's in Sydney. Until we meet again my beautiful friend. Rest in peace. Arthur and Shane are shocked to hear the sad news of Amiria's passing and send our belated condolences to her family. We were friends of Amiria and have just found out she has passed. I knew Amiria about 20 years ago whilst I was living in Sydney, I would like to think that we were good friends; I always valued her company :) Although it has been a long time I have found myself thinking about the past lately and found myself searching for Amiria's name. My cousin Amiria, you went too soon. Have been remembering the times we had together as kids (with my brothers Dominic and Dai and my sister Shannon), in the school holidays at Nanas in Otaki and up at The Capitol with Aunty Mill and Uncle Gordon.
