They say of some temporal suffering, "No future bliss can make up for it," not knowing that Heaven, once attained, will work backwards and turn even that agony into a glory.

She really loved her kids, Reuben. I know you will always remember her, and I hope that memory will make you happy and help you sometime when you need it.

Nearly 4 years ago I lost Mary to a vehicle accident. Like "Mandy", Mary was a teacher and a person who put a smile on everyones face. People like them are true angels here on earth. I am incredibly sorry for your loss, and I know very much the intense feelings something like this brings. The only bit of solace I am able to get is knowing that she is in a much better place, and that some day I will see her again....just as some day you will again be with Mandy. God Bless. Ron

Dear Mandy, Tonight I am sharing your story with someone who lost his dear love in a car accident. It happened about 2 years ago as well. He was driving and she was following. He passed a truck and she followed and ended up in a head-on collision, taking her home to Jesus. My friend is asking why and I still don't know why. I still don't know why with you either... but just wanted to let you know that I know Jesus Knows. Mandy we miss you. I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me. Praise God. I'll see you soon enough. Until then I'll keep sharing your story and your passion for Christ as it encourages me. I'm hoping it will encourage my friend too.

I didn't know Miss Annis very much but she was an amazing person. She was fun to be around with and so funny. HCCS misses her so much, but we know that she is in a better place where she is free from pain. We still are in grief but we know that she is free with the Lord. WE LOVE YOU MISS ANISS!!! ~ ALL MY LOVE, NITZA

This is not a tragic story, because God is good and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that His promises are true and that Mandy is in Heaven. It might seem tragic right now because we don't have all the information and we can't see things from God's perspective, but nothing happens outside of God's control and this did not catch Him by surprise. Right now all we can feel is the pain and we can't see how this is bringing God glory, but it's not the end yet and ALL things work for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. His purpose, not ours.

Mandy made us laugh ... we still talk about how, when we babysat the 4 cherubs :-) that they wanted to show us how the electric dog collar worked from INSIDE the house. Yeah, one of them put the special collar on the poor pooch, Mandy pressed the "on" button for the electric knife and the electric currents jolted the pooch! And the kids all laughed! Of course Doug loved it cuz it involved electricity! And, does anyone want to read Dr. Seuss' "Fox in Socks" book? Mandy loved it! Mandy, I'm sure that you are having so much fun up there in Heaven ... but your presence down here is so missed. You are so beautiful and we thank God for pictures.

Right before Mandy's funeral, I was in Chicago with my husband. There were tulips growing all over the place. I remember thinking that it did not seem right for them to be there. They were so bright and beautiful, and how could they be looking so joyful and full of life when so many of our worlds had just grown so dark and gray. But as I walked along, crying and trying to even believe that this was really happening- that she was really gone, I thought about those tulips again. I realized that they are just like Amanda Lynn. Tulips come springing up, into your life out of nowhere. They are so vibrant and lively that they completely brighten up your day. They are the sign that winter is finally ending. They are the promise of summer. Tulips outshine all of the other flowers. There's no getting around it. And then, from one day to the next, they are gone- and you are left wishing they had stayed around so much longer. Mandy, I planted tulips for you this year. Not that I need any help remembering you, but when I see them, I will focus the vibrant beauty of your life- your laughter, your heart, your feisty spirit, and all the delightful things that made you stand out among others, and brought us all such joy.

I called her whenever anything was wrong. It was really nice to have her here in kind of the same time zone. i could always call her when i needed anything. I miss calling her. I have her name still in my phone, and i dont think i will ever delete it even though it belongs to someone else now. Once when i let my battery die i would call her crying even though she could not do anything about it she calmed me down till i would go get help, and told me to call her if i couldnt get any. Not like she could have done anything, but i felt like she could if i needed her to. i would also call her when i would travel. Everytime i traveled I would call her and talk cause i hated reading before i would get on a plane. Last time i traveled before she died, we talked about gilmore girls and prison break. She wanted them to make a gilmore girls movie, and wanted Jess to come back. And i also caught her up on Prison Break, but i havent been able to watch it since. She got me hooked on it, so it doesnt seem fair to keep watching it. Also another favorite memory is when we played soccer over one of our breaks. The other team had 3 boys and 1 girl, and Mandy and i were on the same team with Sebi, and that was it. We told them that the teams were not even and that we should switch it up but they would not listen to us, called us whiners. However by the end of the game we were not the ones complaining, cause we beat them pretty badly. Sebi did carry us, but we were still pretty pleased. I just miss her soo much and its not fair that she is gone! I cant wait to see her again. I love you Mandy!

When they came to Oakley to visit when they were back from Romana Lynn and the girls were working on necklaces, key chains and others when Mandy stop to explain what they were doing. She was a teacher back then She was always full of energy. We were at Chicago and got a game of Mexican Trains going because we could hear Mandy saying lets play. I think of that when I am playing cards or dominos with my friends until I can play again with you Mandy I will play with you in my heart. I love you cuz

I have many memories of Mandy, Amelia and Irene playing with my kids and going back and forth between our 2 houses. I know that Heaven is better WITH you, Mandy, but I wish we weren't here WITHOUT you.

Just wondering how wonderful heaven is. I know it's a beautiful place and you sure wouldn't want to be back, but our human nature wishes you were still here with your family and friends. My heart goes out to all the Annis family.

I remember Mandy in picture rather than in words. Such a mature young lady with a heart for the Lord! I grieve for your family, friends, and students who are missing you greatly on this anniversary and sorry that I didn't have the chance to get to know you better as an adult.
