Aaron was hilarious. And ridiculous. And he could be a b*stard sometimes, but he always had your back. He was wise beyond his years and had a way of simplifying the most complex subjects to the point of epiphany. Anyone who knew him probably could describe his almost-humble exceptionality in some way; he was a guy who stood out from the crowd in a subtle yet profound way that is hard to put into words. The gods were cruel to guide his path that day. Be careful who you give rides to. I couldn't believe he was gone until they found what was left. Stolen from us forever. By an idi*t. A tragedy in every sense of the word. What a waste. The world hungers without you, unknowingly: a vague insatiable emptiness that settles in, becoming form and void forever.

After all these years, you’re still loved. Thank you for being a good friend. Until we meet again Samurai... Rest In Peace.

I just now found out about this....a testament to my failure as a leader. Aaron was my BFIST driver in Iraq in 2003...as well as our teams collective conscious....to the point I nicknamed him cricket (As in jimminy cricket). He not only got us all home....he got us home with our honor intact. I am sorry BROTHER. Until Valhalla!!!

I met Aaron when I was 17 he was in job corps trying to straighten out his life, he did and was honored by them to come back and speak to others trying to better there life. We became really good friends he joined my family and I for holidays cause at the time it was just him he spoke about his brother often I never met him but he was fond of him, he eventually had a relationship with my bestfriend Heather they were going to get married but things happen, we stayed friends and recently we just kept in contact with each other on how life was, I am so deeply saddened by just finding out today I wish I would of checked up on you sooner, you will forever be missed and I will always hold you close to my heart I am blessed to of had you apart of my life for 9 years!! -A

Aaron has been a great friend to me since we both knew each other from basic training at Fort Sill. After the Army we both had plans to travel back to Asia for a while together. I live in Tennessee and have been calling Aaron for the past few months with no answer, I thought he went on another one of his trips overseas. I went to his myspace page to see a few comments stating ( RIP ), so I googled his name and came to this website. What a shame something happen like this to a Great Man. He will be missed.....Miss Ya Brother....... My name is Chris Smith, email is chris11smith@yahoo.com if any new news keep me posted thanks

We were so hoping that you would be found alive. I just wish you had, so you could still be here with us. You did not deserve this. You were such a great person with a good heart and you served our country well.
