Memories of Daniel Klapperich

Happy Birthday Dan

Jessica Alling (Nov 13, 2008)

This really isn't a memory. It's a wish...Dan I wish you the Best birthday this year that you've ever had! I miss you and wish you were here on your birthday to celebrate it with you. Mariah brought home cupcakes tonite from girl scouts for your birthday. We sang Happy Birthday to you and Kendall sang "Happy Birthday Daddy Angel". My Mom and Mariah wore their MADD shirts today in honor of your birthday and since me and Kendall were both home sick today we spent the day thinking and talking about all the wonderful times we spent with you. We both love and miss you so much but we also know our day will come and we will see you again! "Happy Birthday Honey" xoxox

Bus Rides

Karen Kalgren (May 27, 2008)

I just remember riding the school bus with Dan. One of the few people that were pretty descent to a person with some totally messed up hair and very thick glasses. I never really thought of myself as having a lot of friends but Dan always talked to me even when he stopped riding the bus. I missed him but I always got to see him around the neighborhood. I would see him accross the street at Lewis' house and I would go over and hang out with them for awhile. He is missed and I am now very protective of some people that don't seem to get it yet. They just don't understand that bad things happen to good people. That yes it can happen to you.

One more

Jason Hartz (May 20, 2008)

Dan used to drive this old green Dodge Omni. We would drive around hours on end doing what most teenagers did. Nothing out of the ordinary just acting fools. This one day we stopped by the Beasley's. Hal and Mark Beasley and their friends were always building these supped up trucks or cars or baja bugs or something. When you left his driveway there were always burnout marks in the road from them or their friends TEARING out of there with a loud roaring engine screaming and tires screeching. I guess it was what you did when you left Hals house. Well Dan put a tip on this Omni to make it sound ( i dont know, cool) a few weeks before. Sounded ok i guess! Well that day we went there Dan had a car-full. I dont remember who else was in the car but as we were leaving Dan backed his little ol Omni out into the street and just started REVVING his engine louder and LOUDER and was going to tear out of there as everyone else does with a loud screach . Instead roooom rooooom rooooooom and when he let of the clutch his car let out this tiny little er! and MAN EVERYONE including Dan just BUSTED out Laughing. Everyone in the car, everyone at Hals. Man we laughed about that for a LONG TIME.!

Just another story of Dan that i thought id share

Dan was awesome

Jason Hartz (May 20, 2008)

I have a lot of funny memories of Dan- we used to get in all kinds of trouble together but nothing too bad. Dan always had this habit of kinda nudging you with his elbow if you were sittiing next to him and he wanted to say somthing to you. No one really called him out on it until one day ( while he and i were living together in hampton) i kept doing it back to him until he caught on that i was doing it too. Dan was like what the heck dude- so i told him about what he was doing. From then on - i guess it was something between he and I - whenever one of us were near each other everyn once in a while we would give the other a tap with the elbow and we would both just LAUGH! I know its not really all that funny but to us it was-EVERYTIME. I would do it so much at first that Dan would sometimes just start laughing and scream DUDE STOP.

We had a lot of good times. His friends really miss him

My Memory of My Daddy (told by Kendall written by Mommy)

Kendall Madison Alling-Klapperich (Mar 24, 2008)

"One of my favorite memories of my Daddy is when he used to play with me and teach me things I can't do. One of y favorite times with Daddy was on my 4th birthday when Mommy & Daddy took me to the zoo! Daddy gave me the camera and I got to take lots and lots of pictures. I had a lot of fun chasing the geese and I told Mommy that if I caught one I was keeping it!!! We all had a lot of fun that day and I will never forget it!"

My Memory

Dawn Glover (Mar 16, 2008)

I worked with Daniel as one of his physical therapist. He was a joy to work with and always had a friendly smile. He taught us a lot about fishing. My heart goes out to his daughter and fiancee, who he spoke of regularly. May God bless and keep his family and give peace that passes understanding.
